As Fabrisource builds momentum and outreach in order to continue its mission of providing a business-to-business sourcing platform for socially responsible suppliers and buyers in the textile industry; the company is facing the challenge of raising capital to implement, improve upon, and sustain its business practices. Fabrisource has a customer base within the sourcing supply chain that is committed to socially responsible practices such as using sweat-shop free manufacturers and minimizing the harmful environmental pollution that the textile industry creates every year. As previously posted on our ‘Communities’ page, the company is competing for a $50,000 grant through the ‘Pepsi Refresh Project’ and appreciates your continuing support.
If Fabrisource is able to secure this funding, it would be vital to the company in regard to the various aspects described in the following list:
1) To continue the development, customization, and optimization of our B2B web platform that is essential for providing the multiple services demanded by our customers in an efficient and user-friendly manner that also promotes open communication and effective customer support
2) To continue our effort in securing partnerships with NGOs, textile associations, and international standards boards to ensure that our vendors are held to the highest international compliance standards and social audits to ensure transparency throughout the supply chain and to guarantee that they are in line with our mission
3) To continue to provide the best sourcing platform for our customers in which profits do not have to be sacrificed for maintaining a socially responsible supply chain and ensuring that they can earn a premium on their goods based on consumer awareness and preference, all the while serving to maximize the triple bottom line
4) To continue to research and spread education about critical issues that affect the textile industry and the sustainable development of market participants
As Fabrisource continues to grow, challenges will arise, but more importantly so will opportunities to better serve our customer base and communities related to the dynamic $1.7 trillion textile industry.
